The tallgrass prairie of the Flint Hills goes through very visible changes with each season. This photo was taken in early November and shows the change in colors and textures from the active spring and summer seasons to the dormant fall and winter. The seed heads in the foreground highlighted by the setting sun will hopefully bring more flowers next year when spring and summer return.
