Artist's Description

Butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) is one of my favorite wildflowers. I love the way the color contrasts with the green of the native prairie grasses. Butterfly milkweed attracts numerous butterflies and is the larval food for monarch butterflies.

About Scott Bean

Scott Bean

Thanks for stopping by my website and looking at my photographs. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to get out and explore the world around me. Living in the middle of the Great Plains has given me an appreciation of the wide-open spaces of the prairie, especially the Flint Hills region and the tallgrass prairie found there. If none of the photos on my website are quite what you are looking for, please contact me and let me know, I may have something that will work for you in my photo collection, just not uploaded to my website. There are a lot of options today for having photos printed, canvas metal, traditional framed prints etc. If you have any questions or need suggestions about a type of print or size of print, please let me...
